Welcome to Traveler's Guide 101. My name is Adam Rashan, the creator and curator behind this website. Traveler's Guide 101 was born out of a deep love for traveling. The website is an online travel resource, and aims to inspire and provide valuable insights to passionate travelers about amazing destinations around the world.
I'm a passionate traveler. No, I'm not a wandering nomad but my travels are more due to the nature of my work as a freelancing consultant. I would stay in one place for weeks or even months on each assignment. During my free time (during and after my assignment), I would explore the place or take long trips.
Places I've been include countries in Europe, Asia, North America, and Australasia. I used to travel a lot, never staying in one place for long to call it home. I still travel but not as before. Marriage, kids, and elderly parents require more of my attention. I now have a place I call home, where I'm based at least six months in a year.
I have a flexible travel style. For work, I might take a plane, use taxis, and stay in a business-class hotel. Outside of work, it might be a plane, train, bus, rented car, motorbike, or even a bicycle. I typically choose budget-friendly accommodations, though I no longer sleep in dorms, an option during my younger years.
